Thursday, 19 February 2026 — Carnival Day One
Kick off the long weekend with the first day of races. Gates open at around 11:00 AM, with general admission from as little as $16 online and kids under 16 free. Expect lively crowds, competitive racing and trackside bars and food trucks to keep the energy flowing.
Friday, 20 February 2026 — Community Events
The excitement continues off-course with a range of lead-in activities including:
- Punter’s Intermission at Dudley Wines Cellar Door — live music, shared starters and relaxed vibes
- Racing Club Welcome & Calcutta at the Ozone Hotel Kingscote —
Auction and draw commencing at 8:30pm
Free entry to the welcome event with optional betting ticket purchases

This is the big one! Kangaroo Island Cup Day brings the party — gates open earlier at about 10:30 AM, and stylish racegoers converge for a classic Fashions on the Field, competitive racing and an unbeatable celebratory atmosphere.
