Enchanted Fig Tree

Once upon a time, long ago, a small fig tree sapling was planted as a food source for the first settlers of Kangaroo Island.

Now, 120 years later, its colossal gnarled limbs and shimmering leaves have formed an enchanting dining location.

Gastronomo brings the magic of outdoor dining to you – artfully combined with a flourish of theatre, a few new tastes and a touch of the unexpected.

On arrival, you will be welcomed by your host with a Kangaroo Islands Spirits cocktail and a selection of canapes. You will then be invited to venture through the leafy entrance of our majestic old fig tree where it will open up into a collection of natural ‘living’ rooms, each decked out with stunning table settings ready for you to experience a magical feast of the senses.
